A typical day in my life includes… calories and coffee.
I was born… in Alaska.
My favorite thing about Arizona… creosote, everything the landscape evokes.

My family… comes first, unbelievably lucky.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… The Donner party.
One thing I cannot live without… a spoon.
When I was younger, I wanted to be… a basketball coach.
I’m inspired by… champions in what they do, people who lay it all out there.
The one person who motivates me is… my father, retired General Robert Dupere. He carved out a pretty good life for him and his wife in Alaska before it was a state.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… eliminate iodized table salt.
The perfect day would be…chasing my kids around in the snow, some kind of liquid chocolate and fire.
My first job was… paperboy.
My favorite escape… being on the other end of a great meal.
My life… is Chock full! EVERYDAY.
I’m currently working on… a churro that stays crunchy in the shower.

Favorite Quote… God lies in the details and failure is never fatal.
Biggest Dream… I’m on a ten foot long raised platform grill, in a football stadium with hundreds of other grills and we are feeding every person in the stands a steak dinner during half time. There is a chef waving hand signals up front that are the temperatures to cook each steak from each grill and I don’t know the signals so I am in the weeds bad.
My Pet Peeve(s)… none. I love everything, especially people who drive me crazy!
