Foundress Friday: Meet Ariel Norris, Founder & Director at Muse Street Marketing

Muse Street Marketing builds tailored brands and develops strategic marketing that elevates visibility and impact. The team blends creative innovation with analytical fundamentals, offering full-spectrum support that includes brand design, web development, social media management, content creation, and strategic advertising. They act as an outsourced CMO, guiding brands with clarity, intention, and results-driven creativity.

“We specialize in working with a few industries where we bring deep insight and a customized, thoughtful approach to every project,” Norris said. “This model allows us to partner closely with clients, helping them scale confidently with marketing that feels as good as it performs.”

AZF: What is your “life motto”?

AN: Build boldly. Communicate clearly. Trust your vision. Start with strategy and lead with heart.

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?

AN: Not exactly! Growing up, I watched my dad build a business from the ground up — the first in our family to scale something to that level. As a single father, he often brought my sister and me to work on weekends, coloring books and pencils in hand. He created a life that allowed me to become the first in our family to graduate from college. My other three siblings also graduated from college. His dream was for his kids to have a stable, successful career, so I felt a sense of duty to honor that by pursuing a corporate path.

It didn’t take long before I found myself running circles around my role and moonlighting (legally!) on the side. I couldn’t imagine doing the 8–5 routine forever. One of my e-commerce ventures started to gain traction, but what really stood out was how many people were asking how I did it more than they were buying the product. That’s when something clicked.

The entrepreneur I’d always been deep down came to life. I realized I didn’t just share a birthday with my dad… I also shared his drive to build something of my own. Muse Street Marketing was born organically 6.5 years ago, and I haven’t looked back since.

AZF: How do you feel best supported?

AN: When I’m surrounded by people who are genuinely invested — whether that’s a supportive team, thoughtful collaborators, or friends who believe in the vision. I also feel most grounded when I have time carved out for quiet creativity and big-picture thinking.

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?

AN: Knowing that the work we’re doing makes a real difference. When a client tells us they finally feel proud to share their brand — or that they’ve gained traction after years of spinning their wheels — that’s everything. Also, I’m driven by the belief that businesses built with integrity, clarity, and creativity can change the game for entire industries.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.

AN: Coffee on the patio with my dog and/or friends followed by a hike or walk somewhere beautiful… Having slow, spacious time to think, recharge, and get inspired.

AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?

AN: Don’t try to be everything to everyone. Get really clear on who you serve best, how you deliver value, and what sets your approach apart. From there, consistency is everything — in your message, your brand, and your effort. Show up thoughtfully, and the right people will find you.

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?

AN: The freedom to build something meaningful from the ground up and the ability to partner with other passionate business owners to help them do the same. There’s nothing more rewarding than watching a brand come to life and knowing we had a hand in shaping its voice, impact, and growth.
