A typical day in my life includes

my work day usually involves snoozing my 6:45 am alarm, and ultimately waking up at 7:30 am (I’m trying to break this bad habit!), and when I get off work at 5 pm Freddy & I will go to the gym for about an hour, then make dinner and watch a TV show. Our favorites are Stranger Things (is season 3 out yet!?), The Office, Friends and Parks & Recreation. On my days off I will sleep in until about 9 am, then make lunch plans with my mom or a friend and run some errands around town.

I was born

in San Jose, CA.

My favorite thing about Arizona

all of the beautiful mountains! I didn’t fully appreciate them until we moved to Austin 2 years ago and there were no mountains in sight. Now that we are back in Scottsdale I absolutely love being surrounded by the mountains and enjoy hiking in the Spring and Fall.

I’m listening to

all of the Christmas classics! Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Aretha Franklin…their voices transport me to another time and when I hear their songs it truly feels like Christmas.

My family

is so special to me. While Freddy and I were living in Austin for the past 2 years we only got to see them about once a year. So being close to them again means so much, especially during the holidays.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be

Walt Disney. Perhaps at Club 33? 🙂 I’ve read a few different biographies on his life and he is so inspiring to me! I would have loved to meet him in person and hear his stories, dreams and visions for the future. When I’m at Disneyland I love walking down Main Street and imagining what it would have been like to be there on opening day to hear Walt’s commencement speech and see the park through his eyes.

One thing I cannot live without

is it cliché to say my phone? It’s always with me and I use it for pretty much everything!

When I was younger, I wanted to be

a fashion stylist. I loved watching “What Not To Wear” with my mom and seeing how Stacey London and Clinton Kelly transformed women’s lives and boosted their confidence by giving them a style makeover. And I suppose my daytime job at Nordstrom allows me to do just that! I love styling women whether it’s for an important event or even for date night, and allowing their personality to shine through their clothes.

I’m inspired by

my dad! He was diagnosed with brain cancer earlier this year, but it hasn’t stopped him from living a full life! He has been able to continue working and enjoying the things he loves, like hiking and golfing. Moving back to AZ this year was the best thing we did, and I’m so thankful for the time I get to spend with him. I trust and know that God is good even in the midst of a difficult season.

The one person who motivates me is

my husband! He is so helpful with my blog and takes all my pictures, and actually has fun with it! He’s always cheering me on to be my best and to have fun every day.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be

all of the horrible events that have been happening lately. From the Vegas shooting, to all of the California wildfires, and the hurricanes in Houston, Florida and Puerto Rico. It breaks my heart to see so many people hurting and suffering, and I wish there was a way to prevent these terrible things from happening.

The perfect day would be

spent at Disneyland with all of my family and loved ones, with no lines, eating all the churros, and staying at the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa!

My first job was

a salesperson at J. Crew when I was 18. I loved going to work and helping people put outfits together. Although it was really hard to bring a paycheck home because all I wanted to do was shop!

My favorite escape

is Disneyland! It’s my favorite place in the world and I feel like a kid when I’m there. All of the stress from everyday life melts away and the joy of Disney takes over. Thankfully my husband enjoys going with me and we’ve made it an annual tradition!

I’m currently working on

my ballroom dancing skills! Well, I don’t really have any yet ha, but Freddy and I recently took our first two lessons and had so much fun! It’s something we’ve talked about doing since our first date 6 years ago, and I’m so glad we are finally trying it. We don’t plan on being professionals by any means, but it’s something we enjoy doing together and can hopefully turn into a fun hobby.

Always

count your blessings.

Never

forget to say “thank you”.

Favorite quote

“If you can dream it you can do it.” -Walt Disney

Biggest dream

taking my blog full-time where Freddy and I can work on it together. We also would love to open up our own hot chocolate bar and bakery! Freddy loves to bake in his free time and it’s something we’ve talked about doing for a long time. I would love to “be my own boss” and have the flexibility to run my own company. I know it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but I’m excited for the challenge!

Pet peeve(s)

Freddy always bites/picks at his nails and it drives me nuts! He also tries to be nice by cleaning the kitchen counters, but then leaves the paper towels out for me to throw away…so annoying!

More about Chantelle

I’m the creator and writer behind the blog, Blushful Belle. Growing up, my family called me Chantelle Belle, and as I got older it became just ‘Belle’ and the name stuck. I’m a California girl at heart, even though I grew up in sunny Scottsdale, AZ. I love the mountains, the ocean, the smell of fresh flowers and Disney magic. My blog is a space where I share my inspirations through fashion, interior design, travel and more! I live in Scottsdale with my wonderful husband, Fredricht, who is also my man behind the camera. When we’re not at Disneyland, you can find us whipping up a new recipe in the kitchen or checking out a new restaurant in town.
