Holiday Gift Ideas from Whole Foods Market

Okay, so a grocery store isn’t the first place that comes to mind when you think Christmas shopping, but Whole Foods isn’t your typical grocery store. I love lingering through the aisles, perusing healthy artisan food and locally grown goodies—and I always find something fresh and novel. Plus, you can do all your Holiday shopping under one roof – a major bonus.

For ideas, I went to Sara Putnam of Whole Foods Market. Here she rounds up her favorite eco-friendly and socially-conscious finds.

PACT Socks – I love these funky socks; they would be perfect under boots or peeking out of some cute Mary Janes. Plus, PACT partners each collection with social and environmental projects that seek to make a positive impact in our world. A great way to give back while looking cute!

PACT Socks, $10 – $29.99

Green Toys Fire Truck – My daughter loves anything on wheels and her Grandpa Jim is a fire fighter so this is the perfect find! It is constructed from 100 percent recycled plastic milk containers and is BPA-free. Double bonus!

Green Toys Fire Truck, $27.99

Arizona Date Garden Black Sphinx Dates – These dates are super sweet and melt in your mouth – the perfect healthy treat. They were discovered in Phoenix in 1928 and are harvested every fall from the Arcadia neighborhood. They are perfect on their own or stuffed with cheese and wrapped in bacon. Grab & Give – I like to give back over the holidays and Whole Foods Market has made it easy this year. Shoppers can choose to make a donation of $5, $10, $25, or more that will provide a full meal for a family of four and will include healthy options from Whole Foods Market’s 365 Everyday Value® line of products. As items are purchased and donated, Whole Foods Market stores will give them to partner nonprofit charities which will distribute the items to local families in need.

Grab & Give ($5 – $25)

Whole Foods Market Gift Cards – For family and friends that love high quality food or who may be thinking about eating better in the New Year, I have never gone wrong with giving Whole Foods Market gift cards. This year they are available in multi-packs, which make great gifts for teachers or co-workers, as well as the ideal stocking stuffer. And you can buy them online.
