Live & Local Culinary Entertainment Event To Kick Off for First Time in November

On Sunday November 3rd Live & Local presented by GoDaddy will take place from 5 – 9pm at the Scottsdale Civic Center Mall. The hot new event, sponsored by NOVA Home Loans, will showcase the best in Arizona wine, food, music and spirits with an extensive culinary and entertainment lineup. All event proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale.

Food Tasting

The event will feature dozens of local tastings from The Grind, RA Sushi, The Western, Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale – FS Taste Truck, Kelly’s at Southbridge, The Cider Mill, Roaring Fork, Carlsbad Tavern, Tryst Café, Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market, JJ’s Deli, Distrito, The Clayton, Rita’s Italian Ice, Nothing Bundt Cakes, Cold Beer & Cheeseburgers, EVO, Blanco Tacos & Tequila.

Beverage vendors include Arizona Stronghold, Su Vino Winery, 3 Amigos Tequila, Four Peaks Brewing Company, Mother Road Brewing Company, Mudshark Brewery, Prescott Brewing Company, Roger Clyne’s Mexican Moonshine Tequila, and Sleepy Dog Brewery.

Wine Tasting

“This fall taste event is unique to the Valley because it celebrates our local culture, tastes and sounds and benefits local youth,” says The Grind’s Allen Thompson, who is also co-chairing the event. “The event has also lined up special features including a tequila tasting bar, Arizona wine stations, sangria stations, local beer gardens and more.”

Amazing live entertainment will also be on hand including national recording artist Kelley James as the headliner who just released his new album The Pattern Transcending in September 2013 featuring the single “That’s My Girl.”  Opening acts Scott Keo and Obadiah Parker will also hit the stage.

Other major event sponsors include The Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation, Chasse Building Team, Scottsdale Active 20-30, Off Madison Avenue, Republic Services and Charles Schwab. Scottsdale Insurance will also be sponsoring “Safe Ride Home” which offers guests a complimentary cab ride home from the event.

General Admission Tickets are on sale at $50/each, and they include access to the main event and tastings. VIP Tickets start at $100/each, and they include additional VIP experiences. Tickets can be purchased online at www.liveandlocal.bgcs.org.
