Drink Before You Eat: Thanksgiving Eve Parties

Pre-game your Thursday feast with family by hitting up these night-before parties.

Head to Omni Montelucia for a night of entertainment and giving back. The resort is hosting its annual celebration on Nov. 21 from 7 p.m. to midnight and will feature tapas from Prado and specialty tacos from Taqueria Centro, plus cocktails and live entertainment. A portion of the proceeds from the night will benefit St. Mary’s Food Bank who distributes food to nearly 500 nonprofit partners throughout the state. 

On Thanksgiving Eve, Nov. 21, Jake’s Unlimited will extend their hours to midnight in order to host Gobbles & Games. This Jake’s After Dark event will begin at 8 p.m. and will offer an extra $10 when guests purchase a $20 Fun Card. Keep things going all weekend, Nov. 23-25 when Jake’s extends their Family FUNdays.

Add some Hawaiian flair to your holiday this year with Hula’s Thanksgiving Eve Bash on Nov. 21. The all-day event kicks off at 11 a.m. and picks up speed after 3:30 with Hula’s Tiki Time Happy Hour food and drink specials offered through closing time at 11 p.m. And while you’re there enjoy the all-new menu of Thanksgiving-themed tiki cocktails like the Rumpkin, Brandy Bastard and more. 

Skylanes Boutique Bowling Club is hosting a Turkey Bowl on Nov. 21 from 6 to 8 p.m. with all entry fee proceeds benefitting the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angels program. The entry fee is $20 and participants will have the opportunity to bowl three balls and a frozen turkey. The first person to bowl three strikes (known as a turkey) and hit a strike with the frozen turkey will win the $2,500 cash price. Additionally, anyone who bowls a strike with his or her frozen turkey will receive a $50 gift card.

On Nov. 21, sushi-lovers can have their own Thanksgiving celebration at Ra Sushi Bar & Restaurant. The hip outlet is offering up tons of specials including $2 hot sakes, $6 specialty cocktails (Blushing Geisha and Dragon Bite included!), $8 Viva Las Vegas Rolls, $7 RA’ckin Shrimp, $4 spring rolls and more.

Bottled Blonde is having a ‘Twas The Night Before Thanksgiving party on Thanksgiving Eve, featuring DJ zillmatic. Enjoy holiday-themed drink specials all night long, including $6 green gobbles and cranberry mules.

Sandbar Mexican Grill in Chandler and Phoenix are throwing parties on the eve of Thanksgiving with live DJs all evening long, plus Thanksgiving drink specials including $3 Pumpkin Pie shots, $4 Four Peaks Pumpkin Porter, and $5 Cranberry Margaritas. If you’re still in the mood to party, then come back on Thanksgiving night starting at 5 p.m. to celebrate after getting stuffed with turkey and fixins’.

El Hefe is hosting Turkey’s and Tequila at both locations in Scottsdale and Tempe. Enjoy $5 Don Julio shots until 10 p.m. with music by DJ Diesel (Scottsdale) and DJ Cutswell (Tempe).

Riot House is hosting Flock ‘Can Wednesday with DJ Convince. Bring in a canned food item before 10 p.m. and receive a penny drink.

Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row is hosting Cranberry Sauced at all three Valley locations. Bring in a canned food item before 10 p.m. and receive a penny Bud Light draft. Music by DJ Steel in Gilbert, DR Real in Tempe and DJ Exclusive in Scottsdale.
