Drink Before You Eat at These Thanksgiving-Eve Parties

Before stuffing yourself full of turkey and potatoes, gobble up some cocktails and good times at these Thanksgiving-Eve parties.

Go on an all-liquid diet during Kelly’s at SouthBridge’s Thanksgiving Eve party. The Cheers-style Friendsgiving event will be an ode to the classic TV show where everyone knows your name. Taking place 8 p.m. on Nov. 27, the night before Thanksgiving, patrons can enjoy a live DJ, local and craft brews and new seasonal cocktails including the Pumpkin Pie Martini, Apple Cider Mule and Espresso Martini.

HULA’S Modern Tiki in Phoenix and Scottsdale is hosting its annual Thanksgiving Eve event featuring all-night Tiki Time Happy Hour (3:30 p.m. to close), including all appetizers (excluding ahi items) for $6, signature tropical cocktails for $6, $4 draft beers and $3 domestic bottles and all glasses of wine $1 off. Kick off Thanksgiving at Skylanes with its 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl on Nov. 27 from 6 to 8 p.m. For a $20 entry fee, participants can bowl three balls and a frozen turkey. Those who bowl three strikes in a row (which is known as a turkey) will move to the final round. Bowl another three consecutive strikes to win $2,500! Additionally, anyone who can bowl a strike with their frozen turkey will receive a $50 gift card. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Salvation Army’s Christmas Angels program.
