As 2011 approaches, how will you welcome it? A new year harnessing new experiences awaits and Tucsonans know how to usher it in right. The Tucson Jazz Society will once again host its 5th Annual New Year’s Eve Gala at the JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa.
The festivities will transpire Friday, Decemeber 31st at 8 p.m. at the award-winning JW Marriott Starr Pass Resort and Spa. For Jazz aficionados, the evening promises to be especially entertaining with performers like Rick Braun, Peter White, Gerald Albright, Jeff Lorber and Selina Albright.
Also on the entertainment roster is the Tucson Jazz institute’s Ellington Band, which promises to be a sure-fire way to get the evening of celebration off to a great start.
While the musical styling of these well-known artists will be like a stellar multi-course meal for the ears, the appetites of those in attendance will also be appeased with award-winning cuisine courtesy from the resort’s culinary masters.
If dancing the night away is in your plans to ring out 2010, two dance floors on site will provide an open canvas for dancer of all ages to enjoy and move to the smooth sounds of jazz. The evening will also conclude with a ball drop and balloon drop at the fateful first moments of 2011 in addition to party favors throughout the night.
For those looking to add to the ambiance of this special evening, Arizona Stagecoach will offer round trip shuttle service to and from the Gala. Rates per couple per round trip are set depending on the location of departure. Rates vary from location to location and include pick up and drop offs from the Midtown/University of Arizona area, Northwest/Oro Valley and Northeast/Foothills areas.
