Before we know it, Thanksgiving will have come and gone. Luminaries and Christmas trees will replace cornucopias and autumn colored decorations. In the Tucson vicinity, catch the Christmas spirit at one of the most beautiful settings, the Tucson Botanical Gardens.

Already a breathtaking atmosphere all year round, the Tucson Botanical Gardens turn into a winter wonderland for the holidays.

A magical evening awaits locals and visitors this holiday season as thousands of luminarias light up the garden paths at the Tucson Botanical Gardens 24th annual Luminaria Nights. Eclectic music will set a festive tone and culinary treats are sure to summon the holiday spirit. Create your own traditions and memories this December 3-5 from 5-8 p.m.

To heighten the holiday tone, live entertainment will be on hand to keep spirits tuned into the holiday vibe. This year’s event will showcase more than thirty entertainment groups who will perform over the three nights of the lighting extravaganza. There will be something to suit all musical tastes: school choirs, Irish music, Desert Bluegrass, Jewish folk music, some excellent harmony, plus all our regulars including the hand bell choirs and a harpsichord artist. For more information visit the Tucson Botanical Gardens website.

There will also be a variety of tasty treats to nibble while you meander through the Gardens. Trader Joe’s will provide hot cider and cookies. Other food vendors include: the Gardens Café featuring Acacia, Jaiy’s Hot Dogs, Café Italiano, Sweet Rustler Treats and Eclectic Pizza.

The event will take place Friday through Sunday, December 3-5, from 5:30-8 p.m. The Tucson Botanical Gardens are open daily 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

Admission to the event (includes Gardens’ admission) is $9 for adults (ages 13+) $7 for members, $5 for children and free for infants. a
