Who says you can’t go back? Nine of last year’s 11 Sedona Arts Festival Best of Show winners will return to the Red Rocks again this year for the 20th anniversary edition of the two-day juried exhibit and sale, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 9 and 10.

They’ll be joined at Sedona Red Rock High School in West Sedona by nearly 150 other artists from 21 states exhibiting a range of mediums including painting, sculpture, jewelry, metal, ceramics, wood and even wearable art.

Many of the artists are no strangers to Sedona, nor are a high percentage of collectors, art lovers and visitors who stroll through the tents and take advantage of the range of activities at the only fund-raising event of the year for the Festival’s scholarship program.

Over the past 20 years, more than $250,000 has been distributed to high school graduates pursuing arts careers and in grants to Sedona-area arts organizations.

Entry fee is $10 at the gate. $1 discount coupons are available at many area businesses and hotels and tickets purchased online (www.sedonartsfestival.org) are $8.  Children 12 and under are free.

smART shopper packages are $99 online and offer unlimited admission to the Festival, $50 in Art Dollars, preview shopping an hour before the gates open on Saturday, gourmet continental breakfast, preferred on-site parking, premier bathroom facilities and a complimentary one-year subscription to American Style Magazine.

Gates open at 10 a.m. Saturday (9 a.m. for smART shoppers) and Sunday and weather forecasts call for sunny skies and pleasant temperatures in the low 70s during the day.

New this year:  The Gourmet Gallery offering locally made selections to take home and enjoy.

Back again:  KidZone providing a variety of make-and-take projects for the budding artist in every family.

The only piece missing: you.
