Among the five strategic priority areas, ACF’s Health Innovations category received the largest share of grants this quarter, with $5,216,325 awarded to 586 organizations.

Other select non-profits in the health innovations category are the Children’s Cancer Network,  the Chandler-based nonprofit providing assistance and supportive programs for Arizona families battling childhood cancer, Yarnell Senior Citizens, Inc., for home meal delivery services; Empact-Suicide Prevention Center, for its Survivors of Suicide program; and United Cerebral Palsy of Central Arizona, for its Empowering Exceptional Children for Success program. The other strategic priority areas are Quality Education, Community Improvement & Development, Environment & Sustainability, and Arts & Culture.

Ron Butler, managing partner of Ernst & Young, is chairman of ACF's board, which awards some $45 million annually to nonprofit organizations and students. “Being part of an organization that effectively channels the generosity of thousands of Arizona residents and businesses for the greater good, to this magnitude, is something I am extremely proud of,” he says.  Steve Seleznow, President & CEO adds that, “Most of the Arizona Community Foundation’s grants are awarded at the recommendation of our donors who have created donor-advised funds with us."

Congratulations to ACF and its continued impact on making life changing donations!
