Kathy's scoop on Guy Fieri’s relaxing getaway.

As the star of several TV shows, Guy Fieri is the face of the Food Network. Along with the restaurants he owns with Steve Gruber in California - - he’s got his plate full! So  when this culinary rock star needed to relax - he and his wife Lori Fieri and a group of friends kicked back for a getaway at the Sanctuary on Camelback Mountain. It’s not so easy for Guy, with his trademark very blonde, frosted, spiky hair to go unrecognized, but guests were respectful of his privacy.

The luxury boutique resort is nestled on Camelback Mountain, tucked away in Paradise Valley, Arizona, just north of Phoenix. And its ambiance and amenities are award winning. In fact, congratulations are in order for its recent recognition by readers of Travel + Leisure Magazine. Readers voted it the top Arizona resort in the country in the magazine's popular World's Best Awards!  (It ranked #24 on the list of top 50 resorts in the U.S., with the another Arizona resort close behind. Enchantment Resort in Sedona ranked #25 in the U.S.)

So Guy Fieri and friends aren’t the only ones who have savored the food at the resorts’ Elements restaurant, or  sunset at the  newly remodeled Jade bar. It’s a place where celebrities and the Food Network’s stars are comfortable. After all, the resort’s Executive Chef Beau MacMillian is no stranger to the network and has appeared on Guy’s Grocery Games.

From Sanctuary resort’s food to its Spa with Asian-inspired treatments and fitness classes - it’s a favorite hideway for celebs and those who want to be treated like one!
