Bill Heywood and wife Susan Heywood found shot to death . 

Police are investigating a tragic and shocking scene after discovering the bodies of two well-known Valley residents in a Scottsdale hotel room.

Former radio personality Bill Heywood and wife Susan Heywood were found dead from gunshot wounds in a Scottsdale room at the Homewood Suites on Scottsdale and Mountain View Rds. on Wednesday afternoon.  Police discovered the bodies  after hotel employees found a note that may indicate suicide.  

After hearing the shocking news, several acquaintances of the Heywoods are speculating about the deaths, as Susan had been  struggling with recent medical issues and the couple had been dealing with financial problems, which included their filing for bankruptcy two years ago.  

Bill, a radio personality who worked for several radio stations in Phoenix starting in the 1960's, worked most recently in real estate as a sales associate for Cambridge Properties. 

Scottsdale Police are currently calling this a death investigation and don’t believe anyone else was involved in the deaths other than the Heywoods.  (Follow  azfoothills.com and the AZ Insider for updates on this developing story.)
