Kathy Shayna Shocket has the Inside Scoop on Celebrities and the social scene
Kathy takes you behind the scenes of Scottsdale's first polo party. .
Prince Harry didn’t acknowledge his invitation to the polo match, but some of Scottsdale’s power players did pony up for the first inaugural “Polo Party: Horses & Horsepower.” The sporting and social event at WestWorld attracted a crowd donning an eclectic style of polo party fashions. Absent was the famous polka dot type dress Julia Roberts made famous in the polo scene in the movie "Pretty Woman."
But there were plenty of knit dresses and high heels (even amidst all the grassy areas) beautiful sweaters and trendy scarves. Although several partygoers sported the flowery colorful hats with large brims- the accessory of the afternoon were defineitly the frames of fashion! I'm referring to the abundant variety of very fashionable designer sunglasses.

Fans were also invited onto the turf for the social polo tradition of the stomping of the divots, (flattening out the divots from the ponies.) It was all part of the inagural equestiran afternoon wich Prince Harry who was training for the Royal Air Force in California and Gila Bend, Arizona... missed out.
