Why Kathy asked some power players at a party with a power house menu to say "CHEESE"....
Oh, what a night of power players and elegant food. Oh what a night to raise funds for a charity that makes a major difference in so many lives. And oh, what a night- for sight, that is. Because this was the “Night for Sight” party to benefit the Foundation for Blind Children. Pictured above are as they keep a watchful eye on the live auction bidding for the package featuring VIP tickets to the Barrett- Jackson auction are: Barrett-Jackson's Gary Bennett, Diversified Partners' Walt Brown and Vestar's Pat McGinley.
Pat and Shelley McGinley
Vestar’s Pat McGinley and wife Shelley McGinley were co-chairs of the gala which will add treasured dollars to the coffers of the Foundation for the Blind’s preschool program. Thia was the evening that 300 people dined at the very upscale new restaurant at the Scottsdale Quarter. And the luxurious venue of Dominck's Lincoln Avenue Prime Steakhouse set the intimate ambiance for the fundraiser.

Dominick’s Lincoln Avenue Prime Steakhouse is the newest venture of the Mastro Family; Michael Mastro, Dennis Mastro and Jeffrey Mastro, and restaurateur partner Scott Troilo; following the sale of their Mastro Restaurants and non-compete contract of three years. Amidst its marble floors, paino bar and many chrystal chandeliers, its deisgn is that of a midtown Manhatten steakhouse.
Walt Brown and Addison Brown
Tickets started at $500 per person and the menu for the sit down dinner included prime grade steak, salmon, or chicken, all the wonderful side dishes and a huge slice of cheesecake for dessert. So I snapped photos of some of the guests who I asked to say “CHEESE.” Among them, were Walt Brown and pregnant wife Addison Brown (one week away from having her first baby) who when they were married, asked guests to make donations to the Foundation for Blind Children.
Tim Bidwill of the Arizona Cardinals family and Kristy Kevitt were among the guests enjoying the menu and ambiance. Swift Transportation's Jerry Moyes was honored at the gala evening presented by Health Net and Don Tapia. The Foundation for blind Children is the only agency of its kind in Arizona. It's an essential resource to families and children with blindness or low vision.
Jim Pierson and Karrie Pierson
The FBC provides a comprehensive system of services, which optimizes the blind, or visually-impaired child's development and offers many opportunities to lead a meaningful and productive life. Congratulations on a wonderful event.
