North Scottsdale resident, Mary Beth York, is recognized globally as a make-up artist, spa developer and the creator of her signature line of cosmetics Beauty Ammo. The makeup kits have become staples on the sets of such shows as “Desperate Housewives”, “One Tree Hill”, “The E!” Network” and “Dancing with the Stars” and have earned her gushing accolades from celebrities such as Katie Couric, Diane Sawyer, Jenny McCarthy and Kelly Rippa. Having trained many of the top make up artists in Hollywood it's no surprise that MB's Beauty Ammo kit is often referred to as “Hollywood’s Secret Weapon”.

"All of my celebrity endorsements come from the stars I've worked with directly or through their make up artists that consistently use and enjoy my products. These are genuine, unpaid for endorsements for the small transformative powers of my Beauty Ammo Line."

Her life long love of style and design, along with her keen trending insights make her a natural in front of the camera, where she found herself this past September covering New York's eponymous Fashion Week as a reporter.

Interviewing celebs, designers like Nicole Miller, and key hair and make-up artists like Bobbie Brown was a huge inspiration for her new Paint by Numbers Eyeshadow Kits. "I feel like I can be the translator of trends for women everyday. I love my proximity to some of the most creative talent in the world, and the exchanges with them are invaluable.  I have a huge passion for fashion and beauty products, and there is nothing more inspiring for me than being able to teach women how to recreate these trends for themselves at home. It's a fun cosmetic empowerment!"

But helping to empower others doesn't end with her Beauty Ammo line. As an animal activist, environmentalist and vegetarian for nearly 15 years, MB York is pushing forth with her "Abundant Living" concept which includes TV, print and social media marketing. The ambitious and holistic project includes cooking segments with 5 Star Valley Chefs , celebrity styling, home decor, and beauty and anti-aging with an emphasis on natural, but uber glam beauty secrets.

"People are more interested in solutions now than ever before in all aspects of their lives. Whether it's with my cosmetics or through Abundant Living, I'm showing them easy ways to transform their lives in simple affordable ways. The little things, like the perfect custom-blend foundation; smoother, younger skin, a great new outfit, or a room update via a great vintage consignment find make people realize they still have control of their own happiness and destiny. Feeling inspired, confident, and not breaking the bank is a formula sure to not only entertain but bring some peace to people whose lives have been turned upside down through financial hardship, divorce, and most definitely these times that frequently call for re-inventing yourself."

Aside from her prominent career and busy schedule, York is also spending time doing something very close to her heart-- raising her young daughter, Ellie who is now 8-years-old.

Her tagline, Survival of the Prettiest is fittingly tongue and cheek and defines MB York's mission to make the planet and those in it more beautiful.
