Ditch the Valley for the majestic Red Rocks of Sedona.  Here's your must-do guide for your holiday getaway.

Majestic red rocks, sensual spas, fine dining, and outdoor recreation galore.  That’s what attracts tourists to Arizona’s high desert, located under the scenic southwestern rim of the colossal Colorado Plateau.

Ditch the Valley for a Memorial weekend getaway to Sedona.  The 2-hour drive is an escape from reality—the blissful city is simply breathtaking; more than 4 million world-wide annual visitors venture there every year.

Kick off your Memorial Day retreat checking in at L’Auberge.  The elite hot spot is a AAA Four Diamond resort offering an intimate spa and the most lavish accommodations.

You can opt for a Creek-side, Garden, or Vista Cottage room starting at $550/night, but all that green will buy you a glamorous vacation.  Chill out on your private deck; then warm up in your Jacuzzi tub.  Soak up the outdoor cedar shower; then bundle up by your gas fireplace.  Kiss your honey goodnight; then have sweet dreams snuggled in your Fili D’Oro Italian linens and down bedding and pillows.  Wake up to yoga classes, followed by a healthy meal to start your morning.  The Bed & Breakfast package includes a $30 credit to the resort’s restaurant.

But that’s just the start of your stay in Sedona.

Day-time activity options are endless in the city that averages soothing temps in the 70s.

If exercise tops your list this holiday weekend, hike the red rocks and check out Sedona’s famous vortex sites.  Work up a sweat alongside ancient ruins and pristine canyons.

Consider hiking excursions within Sedona’s State Parks: Slide Rock, Red Rock, and Dead Horse Ranch.  Each offers unique trails and stunning scenery.

But if you prefer working out on two wheels instead of two feet, take up mountain biking.  The city has quite an array of bike trails—the latest addition borders the Red Rock Scenic Byway (State Route 179).

Sedona is also the savvy spot for sporty guys and gals.  Hit the green on Sedona’s beautiful links, or play a round of tennis with your weekend vacation pals.  If you prefer fishing, reel ‘em in along the waters of Oak Creek Canyon.
