The city of Scottsdale is welcoming America’s largest butterfly pavilion on May 25.  The state-of-the-art facility will feature a conservatory, a 3-D theater, educational labs, a butterfly treasures gift shop and café.

Nature lovers of all ages will be enchanted when passing through the glass-enclosed rainforest environment atrium boasting spectacular waterfalls, beautiful lush plants and a large koi pond, home to thousands of unique butterflies from the far reaches of the world.

Explore the habitats of live ant colonies staged in an acrylic 360-degree viewing area and get an up close look at honey bee’s and their hives as they go about their daily activities behind protected glass leaving visitors wowed and unimpeded.

Parties and special events can be hosted in the multi-purpose room against the setting of the pavilion.

The Butterfly Wonderland is located at 9500 E. Via De Ventura, Scottsdale, spanning five acres at the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community on the northeast corner of the 101 Freeway and Via De Ventura.

Hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily.
