Fellows, honored as Resident Artist in 2010 for the Arizona Cowboy Poets Gathering in Prescott, debuted her new gallery April 21.

Fellows said the gallery represents a lifelong dream and is named after one of her paintings "Saddle Up".

"As long as I can remember the feeling of the Southwest ran through my soul,” Fellows says. “My horse, Sam, took me over some of the most spectacular terrain this country has to offer, and now I am able to paint my dreams and share them with you.”

Fellows has studied under famed art instructors from the Cowboy Artists of America instructors and the Scottsdale Artist School. She says her techniques come from the "old school" methods, inspired by her passion for the south and love of the western lifestyle.

Saddle Up Gallery showcases some of her most beloved work that she says will take viewers back to the days when her grandfather lived as a cowboy on the open range in Texas to the new west cowboy, who still drives the herds over rugged terrain.

Fellows prides herself with art that incorporates “the new west cowboy spirit, one rich with vibrant colors, deep soul exuberance and lifts you into their life through art.”

The gallery not only showcases Fellows’ prized pieces, but is also home to such artists as Sherri Blanchard Stuart, Hal Stewart, Rick Fitch, Jacque Cohan and John Montoya.
