When talking to Stephanie Newhouse, one does not feel as if they are speaking to a Conde Nast royal or socialite: They feel like they are conversing with a girl you have known for years, or just catching up with an old friend at market.

I had the pleasure of doing so and I was so taken aback by her grace and elegance. Stephanie is like a modern day Jackie O with a youthful and fierce side. Even when speaking about the negative press that recently surrounded her, she spoke highly of the certain publication. Newhouse of all things is passionate. When she is speaking about her hobbies, talents and life, you feel her energetic and heartfelt voice. Stephanie has such a sense of style. Her favorite designers of the moment are Rodarte, Chloe and the two designers she discovered recently on a holiday to London where her husband Jesse Newhouse was showing his exhibit of modern/Victorian art at Oxford. Her style icons are Coco Chanel, Chloe Sevigny and her mother-in-law, Lorry Newhouse, who mixes over-the-top couture articles with vintage. Stephanie, a stunning New Yorker, also enjoys summer weekends in her Hamptons home and horseback riding. I asked her to describe her perfect Sunday afternoon - "Cooking lunch for my friends and watching movies. Perhaps a quick shopping walk as well." Modest and sweet, that's Stephanie Newhouse. Stephanie works with the New York Charity "City Harvest" raising money to help feed the homeless. Growing up her mother wanted her to know her backyard, so they traveled the country. Arizona is also one of Stephanie's favorite travel destinations.

What is the Stephanie Newhouse must-have beauty product?
Eve Lom Rescue Mask, it makes my skin look amazing! I love anything from Dior Beauty as well.

Talk to me about your glorious mother in-law.
My mother-in-law, Lorry Newhouse is a style inspiration! She has this way of combining vintage and couture pieces that you could never imagine off the runway, and making them look incredible. She also has impeccable taste.

What are you listening to these days?
Ooh, an eclectic collection to be sure! The last three artists played on my iPod were the Donnas with Dancing with Myself, Bad Boy Bill's Fast Life, and Origene's Sanctuary

What is your biggest pet peeve?
People who lack manners. Sometimes people forget that etiquette is not about which fork to use, but about behaving graciously and making the people around them comfortable. The "rules" of etiquette are merely designed to facilitate that.

In your eyes, what is the biggest fashion faux pau?
The biggest fashion faux pas is wearing ill fitted clothing. It's all about the tailor! I've seen people rocking Forever 21 and looking amazing, and I've seen some wearing the nicest labels poorly.

Where and how to relax from a ferocious day in the office?
Certainly if I have a chance I get outside, but I also love to cook and eat. The company of friends or family is key on those days, it helps give perspective and reminds you that there is a bigger world out there.

Every woman should own a (_____) in her closet?
One go-to piece that makes her feel like a goddess! Something you can throw on at the last minute and look amazing in. I am personally a fan of amazing high heels. Love Christian Louboutin and Balmain.

When you are a lady who lunches, where do you go?
I love Bistro les Amis in Soho, Balthazar, Mercer Kitchen, Pastis.

Who is your all-time favorite artist?
Why my husband, Jesse Newhouse, of course! He makes these amazing Steampunk pieces.

How do you keep your gorgeous figure?
Ooh, Dancing, Riding, Walking, playing outside! I am not very disciplined about the gym.

When did you start your company, 007 Events?
My company has been around for twelve years! I'm so very excited about that.
