In the venomous world of reality TV, it is hard to keep an image of decency, let alone look sane. Skewed edits makes for alluring entertainment. Yes, the delightful dysfunction that is “reality” television is too often unjust. Amongst these addictive exhibits of televised tantrums is “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The show is simply splendid. This is the first season starring the six ladies who inhabit the 90210. Kyle Richards, the raven-haired, beauty has maintained a impeccable depiction on this season of “Real Housewives.” Richards is a mother of four daughters, married to Mauricio Umansky and is also the aunt to Paris and Nicky Hilton. Richards, who has previously dabbled in the entertainment industry, had roles in “Little House on The Prairie,” “ER” and “Halloween.”

When approached by Bravo to film RH, what were your initial thoughts?
At first, I was afraid. It’s so different from anything I have done in the past. But then I thought that it could be fun—an adventure—and decided to go for it.

What is most trying aspect of reality TV?
The most trying and demanding thing is having your entire life in front of everyone. The fights, emotions are all real, and watching it back is sometimes hard, but you know, you learn from it too.

You recently participated in a 68-mile bike ride. Tell me about that.
So many people in my life have been effected by cancer. Cancer claimed the lives of both my mother and father. So it’s very important to me that I support the cause, which is what this ride was for. Plus, I got to spend a lot of time with my husband training, so being with him and doing something for a cause I so strongly believe in made it the best of both worlds.

The viewers adore you. What do you think it is about you that is so likable?
I’m just me. I try my best to get along with everyone on the cast. It’s important to just be yourself and not be fake.

You have fantastic style. Where is your go-to store?
Thanks so much. I’m actually on my way to Neiman Marcus right now. I love it.

Your hair is glorious. What is your secret or hair care products?
I’m extremely particular about my hair.  When I was a kid, my mother told me to never cut my hair. I am also really careful when I brush my hair not to snag it. Everyone thinks I use expensive hair care, but actually I use Pantene.

What is your must-have skin care product?
My skin is naturally dry, so I use a heavy moisturizer and I also drink a ton of water.

What are you wanting for Christmas?
As much as I would like a crocodile Hermes Birkin, that would not be right. That’s enough for college tuition for one or two of my kids a year, so I have to think about them—not just myself. But, my 2-year-old has stolen my iPad, so perhaps I will get one of my own.

Can we expect a second season of the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”?
The ratings and feedback has been phenomenal; people love the show. We hope for a second season, but you never know in this town.
