HomeBe in AFMWomen Who Move the Valley › Women Who Move the Valley 2008

These 10 Valley movers and shakers are superwomen in the true sense of the word. Although they span a spectrum of industries - politics, medicine, education, sports, beauty, business, nonprofit - what commonalities do they share?

Well nearly all of them laughed when asked about achieving balance in their lives; the recurring response was, 'I do my best.' And did we mention, they're all committed to giving back, through their favorite charities or with a strong focus on others (employees, customers, community). Whether contributing their time and talent to a cause or leading our Valley organizations to a proverbial (and sometimes literal) victory, these 10 women inspire us all.

The ten multi-faceted, talented and committed ladies are:

Elizabeth D. Capaldi- University Provost and Executive Vice President of ASU
Ann Meyers Drysdale- General Manager of Phoenix Mercury and Vice President of the Phoenix Suns
