There are many galleries offering exceptional exhibitions and events this month including Tilt Gallery showcasing the work of Los Angeles based photographer and digital artist Daniel Leivick "Heliopolis", “(meaning sun city, also the city to which the Phoenix of myth returned to die and be reborn) is a contradictory body of work; by collaging material gathered from Google Maps, in an effort to conjure a new mythical desert city in the minds of its viewers, it occupies a middle ground between fact and fiction.” Tilt Gallery is located at 7077 East Main Street, Scottsdale. Also be sure to stop by Carstens Fine Art featuring the fine art gallery and studio of Cyndy Carstens located in the Downtown Scottsdale Arts District at 7077 Main Street #5, Scottsdale. Get lost in the stunning southwest landscapes of Cyndy Carstens, utilizing a spectrum of brilliant colors blending realism and abstraction, thus resulting in simply beautiful and meditative masterpieces. She creates amazing paintings that “focus and reflect on portraying an awareness of the wide expanses of the sky and the details of nature”, says Carstens. In addition to creating and selling beautiful art, Carstens is a philanthropist donating a portion of each sale to support several local charities.
