April is coming to a close and our weather is starting to heat up, but it's the perfect time to head out to old town Scottsdale for an evening of film and art!
Do you enjoy Documentary films? Well then head over to SMoCA Lounge for a brilliant showcase of documentary shorts created by ASU emerging media artists on April 30th at 7pm. This will be an incredible evening of experimental documentary shorts that “highlight social, cultural and personal topics produced Spring 2015, as part of the Intermedia program of the School of Art.” The ASU Documentary Video Art Festival will be screened in the SMoCA Lounge with seating on a first come, first served basis aS well as free admission.
Currently SMoCA is in the midst of preparing for their third annual benefit event SMoCA Mix: Street Art Moves Inside happening this Saturday, May 2nd, which supports their mission and vision. This year's SMoCA Mix features the exciting theme "Street Art Moves Inside", which will literally transform the galleries of the SMoCA evoking the spirit of the vibrant streets with engaging murals, music, special performances, cocktails and street food while working with local vendors and creatives.
