The event featured multiple genres of art including fashion, music, visual art, performing art, hair and makeup artists.The Monarch Theater was a great venue for this multifaceted event which offered two levels of excitement and fun. Downstairs crowds of people where entertained with music by local musicians, local band Andy War Pigs, a DJ spinning latest trendy music Topped off by an incredible aerial show.
The Fashion show portion kicked off at 10pm featuring local designers who showcased their latest collections including LVLF Apparel, State a Forty-Eight, Doux Belle, and The Crooked Feather. Offering an interesting mix of causal tshirts, jeans and shorts for day and evening weaR with a beautiful selection of elelgant dresses. The best cohesive collection came from State Forty-Eight, offering both men's and women's apparel which has definitely grown in popularity of the last year, while Doux Belle offered contemporary Persian inspired gowns and suits Accessorized with hats and gloves. The Crooked Feather offered dressss with each model adorned with a pair of wings.
Upstairs featured a packed pop-up art gallery, which featured more than 30 Phoenix artists highlighting photography, drawing, painting, mixed media, jewelry and more. Artwork and local goods seemed to be selling well throughout the night With everything reasonably priced. Highlights included Delfin, who offered an eye catching collection celebrity paintings, EHMotion creating small unique prints by local artist Edgar Hernandez, Pink Puddle Studio had a selection fashion inspired artwork and goods, and Johnny Kerr Photography had a stunning selection of black and white photographs and prints. The evening wouldn't be complete without guests getting their picture taken in the official RAW photo booth by Mohawk Photography, who took fun and playful pictures of guests throughout the night.
What is RAW? RAW is a multi-faceted arts showcase and indie arts organization. Their mission is "to provide independent artists within the first 10 years of their career with the tools, resources and exposure needed to inspire and cultivate creativity."
