Milan began painting at just 12 years old at the Milan Art Institute of Arizona, founded by her parents, Elli and John Milan. It was there that she learned the drawing and classical oil techniques that would launch her success.

When asked about the inspiration behind her artwork, Milan says, “I’m inspired by what is beautiful and genuine. I feel like painting is a way to reach into heaven and capture those visions, bringing them to existence in this world.” A quote that she swears by, and helps to inspire her artwork is one from C.S. Lewis which says, “The fact that our hearts yearn for something this earth can’t supply is proof that heaven is our home.”
