New at Distrito and Old Town Whiskey

They might be new, but the well-received restaurants at Old Town Scottsdale’s The Saguaro hotel–Distrito and Old Town Whiskey–have some delicious things up their sleeves, including a new weekend brunch and midnight feast (with free fried chicken).
Chef Jose Garces’ Distrito will now offer weekend brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Favorite menu items include Distrito Eggs Benedict (chorizo, brioche, black truffle hollandaise), Tres Leches French Toast (with fresh berries and Chantilly cream) and Costillas (Berkshire pork spare ribs, chipotle-cider mustard barbecue). To wash down all the tasty goodness, Distrito’s “Hair of the Chihuahua” Bottomless Bloody Marias or Mimosas are only $15. Best of all, diners can customize their Bloody Maria by choosing from a list of 16 ingredients that includes cucumbers, pickled green beans, bacon and shrimp. (Reservations are recommended.)
Old Town Whiskey now dishes up a complimentary Midnight Feast every Saturday at, you guessed it, midnight. Chef Garces’ famous fried chicken wings will be available–on the house, no less. If midnight is a bit late for you, you can also unwind at Old Town Whiskey with its “Shoot ‘Em Up Early” Happy Hour seven days a week from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wallet-friendly cocktail, beer and food specials from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. are $4, 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. are $5 and 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. are $6. On the menu? BBQ Pork Sliders, Pickled Beet Crostini, the Pony Express Old Fashioned and more.
P.S. I’m gonna let you in on a little secret. If you mention the penny special at Old Town Whiskey or Distrito, you can take advantage of an insider special:  buy a drink, get your next drink for 1 cent. (The offer is available on beer, wine by the glass and well drinks only.) www.thesaguaro.com.
