A new world-famous immersive dining experience featuring the “smallest chef in the world” took over the Biltmore on May 1. Le Petit Chef blends cutting-edge 3D projection mapping, creative storytelling and culinary excellence to deliver an experiential, multi-sensory adventure. The exclusive launch further reinforces the resort’s legacy as a premier travel destination.
“Just as our resort’s Frank Lloyd Wright-inspired architecture is a testament to visionary design, Le Petit Chef transforms dining into an art form, captivating guests with its creativity and craftsmanship,” VP and Managing Director Michael Hoffmann said.
Le Petit Chef uses proprietary 3D projection technology developed by a Belgian art collective to bring a six-centimeter chef to life on each table. The courses are introduced by a carefully choreographed animation in which the animated chef “prepares” the dish in front of guests, transforming dining tables into theatrical stages.
Diners are guided through a four-course meal handcrafted by Biltmore’s award-winning chefs, mirroring the miniature chef’s virtual travels around the world.
“As a resort with nearly a century of storied history, we continue to evolve to meet the expectations of today’s guests while honoring our legacy,” Hoffmann said. “By introducing groundbreaking experiences like Le Petit Chef, we reaffirm our commitment to offering guests the best of both worlds by being guardians of our past and architects of our future.”
Le Petit Chef’s prix fixe menu will include burrata and locally sourced Duncan Farm beets, seared Mediterranean seabass featuring lobster and shellfish nage, American wagyu with red onion jam and Dijon-hollandaise, and Meyer lemon crème brulee topped with a honeycomb crumble.
The limited time experience is hosted every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday at 5:30 and 8 p.m. Each show will seat 18 guests with tickets priced at $195 per adult and $79 per child. For more information, visit arizonabiltmore.com.
