Please describe your occupation:

I am the lead soul behind Soul Carrier (Luxury Leather and Cowhide Handbags Empowering Women To Fuel Their Soul) aka the founder and designer behind this brand.

Why did you go into that industry?

Nothing lights me up like creating, collaborating, and working with other people to bring an artistic vision to life. I LOVE seeing textiles and thinking “Hmmm, I could turn that textile into an accessory and purse!”

While a student at Parsons The New School For Design, someone told me fashion is just self-expression, and I love helping others express themselves and encouraging them to let their AUTHENTICITY SHINE!

What made you want to be apart of Arizona Foothills Magazine’s Most Eligible Phoenicians 2021?

I want to let the universe know that I am out to meet high caliber guys who could potentially turn into something more than a friend. 2021 is the year I want to meet the guy that will eventually become “My Person ;-)”

Are you an Arizona native? If not, when and why did you move to Arizona?

I sure am! Born and raised with the exception of four glorious years residing in Manhattan.

What is your favorite aspect of Arizona?

Spring! AZ does Spring really well! And the sunshine, while in NYC I realized how much I missed our pure-bright-beaming sunshine.

Have you ever been married in the past? Would you want to get married/remarried?

Never married and yes, I would like to get married if there are true alignment and synergy.

Do you have any children? Would you like to have children?

No kiddos. I have never been driven to have children, although I ADORE kids and I am “Aunt Jenn” to a zillion kiddos. However, I am now open to the kid conversation, as well to just being a really awesome-kind-loving figure to children who are not my blood 😉

What’s your astrological sign?

LEO – I am 100% this sign 😉

Would you describe yourself as more of an extrovert or introvert? Or a little bit of both?

I am an Extrovert. However, my social butterfly ways are fading as I get older, I am finding I NEED quite-down time to refuel, reflect and be creative. Always being on the go is no longer my flavor of choice.

You have the weekend off, and no work needs to be done. What are you doing?

Work out, listen to some Kygo and Avicii, do something creative and artistic, catch up with friends over brunch, do something that fills my soul.

Where was your favorite place you have ever visited?  Where do you want to go next?

I LOVED Sydney, Australia I could live there if it was not so far away – I would never see family and friends if I did live there. Tokyo and Scandinavia are high on my list when we get out of this pandemic.

I am obsessed with Scandinavian Dj’s (Kygo, Avicii, Martin Garrixx) as well as Scandinavian design and I would love to go and take in all of that culture.

Favorite movie? Why?

The documentary “Stole The Show” on Kygo –  I have watched it so many times! It is so inspiring! Kygo is incredibly talented as well as incredibly humble, I watch it and I am artistically inspired. Kygo is my celebrity crush 😉 LOL

What kind of music is your favorite? Do you have a favorite artist?

LOL, umm, do my answers above make that obvious!? EDM, Kygo, Avicii, Martin Garrixx, One Republic, Lindsey Stirling, Hilsong when I am in a reflective and mediative state.

Favorite food and favorite restaurant? Why?

I love Thai food (my grandmother was the personal chef to the Queen of Thailand and my father was a phenomenal Thai cook as well). So right now, I love Malee’s on Main and Tottie’s Asian Fusion.

Where is your favorite place to grab a cocktail?

Mountain Shadows Bar.

If you were to take another MEP selectee on a date, where would you take them and why?

I LOVE architecture and design, I think it would be really fun to go on Allison King’s Modern Phoenix Home tour or to an architecture lecture and then out for drinks somewhere hip like downtown Phoenix.

Tell us something that many people may not know about you:

I applied to Berkley Law School right after graduating ASU because a best friend was heading there for medical school and I thought it would be cool to be at the same school. I did not get in.

I did not have the LSAT score, background, or stamina to make it there, AND most importantly my soul KNEW better. I was meant for design, fashion and something more creative.

A few years later I ended up in Manhattan attending Parsons The New School Of Design, and you know what!? That best friend also ended up in Manhattan and we were roomies for four glorious and magical years. He still to this day is one of my all time favorite humans. I don’t think I ever told him that story 😉
