Title: Face of Foothill Top Ten Adult Finalist

City you live in: Peoria

A typical day in my life includes…

eating breakfast (I ALWAYS eat breakfast). Reading, writing, listening to podcasts, going to the gym, working, walking my dog, watching serial killer documentaries and searching for the best version of myself.

I was born…

in Glendale, AZ at Banner Thunderbird. Where all the legends come from. Abraham Lincoln was actually born in the same room as I was.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

sunsets. Pretty basic, I know. Sue me. I think it’s also nice we have forests in addition to rocks and desert. But also I dig our lack of extreme weather conditions/catastrophes. I enjoy our usually non-destructive haboobs. AZ social media really unifies during those things.

I’m listening to…

currently this moment, Peggy Lee. She’s the best. But usually my playlist consists of various indie, classic rock, alternative, folk, oldies, some early 2000s R&B and EDM. Basically anything EXCEPT country. (Unless it’s Johnny Cash, he is an exception).

My family…

is big, chaotic, crazy (isn’t everyones?) and loving.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Scott Peck. For sure. He’s number one. C.S. Lewis for sure. Honestly dinner with the most significant and reputable psychologists and philosophers known to man would be super chill. But also, Albert Einstein, Will Ferrell, Pink Floyd, the rat pack, oh and I definitely think dinner with the Osbourne family would be pretty darn interesting.

One thing I cannot live without…

my chapsticks, SKIN CARE REGIME, my dog and my abnormally excessive collection of essential oils and candles.

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a model and an author on the side; an autdel or mothor, if you will. I also wanted to be the President, an artist and a special needs teacher but the model/author situation steadily remains my first and foremost aspiration.

I’m inspired by…

anything involving nature, human connection, empathy and love. Also inspired by Scott Peck, C.S Lewis, Victor Frankl, Henry David Thoreou, Anne Frank, Elvis Presley, Charles Bukowski, Aristotle, George Orwell, Cardi B and Walt Disney.

The one person who motivates me is…

to be completely honest, anyone I mentioned in the above question. But seriously it’s a tie between Scott Peck and Victor Frankl. Both are the men of the hour.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

compassion and empathy.

The perfect day would be…

using a time machine to visit the past 9 decades, getting a coffee and watching people dance in every single one of them.

My first job was…

receptionist and sales representative at a massage business.

My favorite escape…

driving and cruising to tunes. Reading (traveling without moving). Longboarding is also a favorite pastime. Thrifting. If I had the money, I would travel.

My life…

is a perfectly organized paradoxical series of events.

Always…

too much.

I’m currently working on…

trying to act like I got my ish together. So yeah, working on myself. I’m in my twenties now, apparently people expect me to act accordingly???

Always…

soul searching. Intuitive. Curious. Sarcastic.

Never…

boring.

Favorite Quote…

le sigh *scrolls through the 7 note pages in my iPhone of hundreds of my favorite quotes*

“Your soul is the whole world.” – Siddhaurtha, Hermenn Hesse

“Ultimately love is everything.” – Scott Peck

“It is good to love many things, for therein lies the true strength, and whosoever loves much performs much, and can accomplish much, and what is done in love is well done.” – Vincent Van Gogh

“I keep my ideals, because in spite of everything I still believe that people are really good at heart.” – Anne Frank

Biggest Dream…

to inspire millions of people and speak for and change the stigma of mental illness. I want to help others by doing the things I love: speaking, writing, traveling and modeling.

My Pet Peeve(s)…

the lens of my glasses being dirty and not having my particularly preferred type of terry cloth to clean it correctly. Absolutely unnerving. Rush hour traffic when driving stick shift. Also something that really makes my blood boil, is the idea that people genuinely enjoy doing math.
