Name: Liz Agboola
Title: CEO of Trinity Integrated Care & Moses Behavioral Care (MBC)
Kids: Just the one.
City you live in: Scottsdale
My favorite thing about Arizona… I may be one of the few people to say this, but I love the Arizona summers.
I’m listening to… Mary J. Blige.
My family… Four overprotective brothers and two authoritarian overlords, or mum and dad! 🙂 We are an exceptional symbiotic unit; my day would not be complete without a call to or from each of them.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be… My grandfather, who was a true patriot for his country Nigeria. He was assassinated for his efforts as a politician to liberate Nigeria.
One thing I cannot live without… Warm brownies and Ice-cream (together, always together).
When I was younger, I wanted to be… In the WNBA.I played basketball throughout high school with the intention of joining the WNBA, but when I got to college, I realized I wasn’t good, not at all.
I’m inspired by… Anyone who triumphs in the face of overwhelming odds. It’s inspiring to witness bravery and tenacity when all you can see ahead of you is adversity. It takes great fortitude to grow in these elements.
The one person who motivates me is… Malala Yousafzai.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be… the stigma associated with people who look, behave, or feel different from what society dictates to be “normal”.
The perfect day would be… Relaxing in bed, watching reruns of the Duchess on Netflix, with a box of Crumbl.
My first job was… In high school I worked in the concessions for the mens and women’s basketball games at Old Dominion University in Virginia.
My favorite escape… My house is my safe place, and I adore being there.
My life… Is not what I expected, but I am better for it. God’s plan was better.
I’m currently working on… Trinity is constructing a 5-acre, 30,000-square-foot wellness complex in Phoenix for those suffering from mental illnesses. Concurrently we are working on a 50,000 sf mental health hospital for children and adults in Las Vegas.
Always… It may sound redundant, but I’m a woman of simple pleasures. It’s always about my warm brownies and ice cream.
Never… Eat my veggies or kiss a dog.
Favorite Quote…“The way to get started is to quit talking and start doing.” —Walt Disney
Biggest Dream… To make a lasting impact in my community.
My Pet Peeve(s)… Anyone who is overly judgmental
