AZF: What is your “life motto”?
AG: I’m not sure I have a “life motto” but I do believe that everyone has a purpose, that everything happens for a reason, and we are all connected. You never know what will happen or who you will impact your life.

AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path right for you?
AG: Yes, I have always wanted to be an entrepreneur. My parents are entrepreneurs and always encouraged my sister and I to be hard workers, reach for our dreams, and love on people.

AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
AG: I love being able to connect with my local community! I truly enjoy meeting each customer that comes into my boutique. I also enjoy networking with other local small businesses, it’s so important that we all support each other and our community.

AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst of the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
AG: My family, hands down, have been the best support system. My husband, Clayton, is incredibly supportive along with my parents and sister.

AZF: How do you feel best supported?
AG: Of course, with owning a brick and mortar business, I feel most supported when friends, family, and customers come into the boutique and enjoy themselves. Giving a follow on instagram and posting a review on Google are also amazing. But it’s a spectacular feeling to watch customers enjoy themselves in the space you have spent so much energy creating.

AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
AG: Ohhh, fun question! My perfect Saturday morning would start off with a run or a hike, a cup of coffee, and a trip to the farmer’s market with my husband. Depending on the time of year I also love working in my garden or going for a swim.

AZF: What’s one piece advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
AG: Stay positive, surround yourself with leaders, and don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy this time and when it gets hard, keep moving forward!
