Title: President of Yale Electric Inc.

Married, 17 years

Three daughters: 16, 13, 10

City I live in: Scottsdale

A typical day in my life includes wearing every possible hat. I run a business providing commercial lighting and electrical supplies, I oversee my three children’s schooling from home (temporarily), and I’m running a campaign for the Scottsdale City Council. I also make sure I find time to exercise every day; health and fitness have always been a priority for me. If you want something done, you give it to a busy person!

I was born in Boston, MA.

My favorite thing about Arizona is our pioneering spirit. It’s a place where a person can reach higher and dream bigger.

I’m listening to my daughters laughing together.

My family is eating dinner together every night, for the first time in years.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be my Dad, who was my inspiration. I have so many things I wish I could share with him.

One thing I cannot live without is exercise. It clears my head, gives me time to organize my thoughts, and keeps me strong, fit, and healthy.

When I was younger, I wanted to be in charge!

I’m inspired by my children, who have adapted to the “new world order” without complaining or missing a beat.

One person who motivates me is Melinda Gates, who doesn’t have to, but works hard every day to make the world a better place. She understands that when you make the world better for women, everyone benefits.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be the status quo.

The perfect day would be spent outdoors (in November) in Arizona.

My first job was scooping ice cream.

My favorite escape is a spa day at any of Scottsdale’s awesome resorts.

My life is bursting with possibilities!

I’m currently working on getting elected to the Scottsdale City Council, to be a positive, forward-thinking voice for the city.

Always stay positive and look ahead.

Never prejudge or close your mind.

Favorite Quote: “When they go low, we go high”.

Biggest Dream is making the world more just and equitable for everyone. Justice and equality are not a zero-sum game- one group doesn’t have to lose for another to win. Everyone can win.

My Pet Peeve is when people make arguments based on false equivalencies, or without understanding the facts.
