A typical day in my life includes⌠Marketing, shoot planning, shooting, post-processing, and of course now, zoom/team/gotomeeting/facetime calls. Working basically. In the evenings, dinner at home most days, itâs important to me that we sit at the table and eat meals together to catch up.
I was born⌠in Bulawayo, Zimbabwe
My favorite thing about Arizona⌠Sun, Heat, Desert. Arizona reminds me of my place of birth. If you fell asleep in Zimbabwe and woke up in Arizona, it would take a while to figure out you have moved.
I’m listening to⌠Podcasts of all sorts, no one favorite. Music is mostly stuff from the 60âs, 70âs and sometimes 80âs.
My family⌠Scattered, no more parents, but siblings in England, daughter at Medical School in St. Louis, extended family in Africa. In Arizona itâs just me, my dear wife Kathleen and of course, Sherlock the Basset.
If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be⌠My extended family from around the world.
One thing I cannot live without⌠Apart from the obvious â air, water, food, and my family, nothing really, Iâm pretty content, donât need things to fill up my life or my time.
When I was younger, I wanted to be⌠Several things, A Lawyer, Successful Businessman, Photographer, FatherâŚglad to say Iâve done them all.
I’m inspired by⌠The great photographers of the 60âs and 70âs like Richard Avedon and Helmut Newton.
The one person who motivates me is⌠My wife, Kathleen.
If I could change anything in the world, it would be⌠The idea that success = money. I would like to see a world when kindness, help and respect for everyone is the measure of success. Having the most toys or the biggest house, or the most expensive car says nothing about your character. I wish people would want to be judged by what they do for others rather than what they have.
The perfect day would be⌠What I do now, maybe a few more clients at the moment, but thatâs about it, I like what I do.
My first job was⌠Barrister (Lawyer)
My favorite escape⌠Sailing or driving out into the desert to photograph Arizonaâs amazing scenery
My life⌠Has been generally good, some lows, one super-low (health-wise) but generally Iâve bounced back.
I’m currently working on⌠âNice Hatâ A gallery exhibition that was supposed to be last year, but was moved due to COVID, to next year at the earliest.
Always⌠Be generous with your time and resources. Learn when you have the opportunity and pass on what you can to others who might benefit from the lessons you have learned.
Never⌠Look down on people based on their circumstances, it could be you one dayâŚ
Favorite Quote⌠Donât believe your own BS
Biggest Dream⌠More of the sameâŚ.
My Pet Peeve(s)⌠Indecision. If you are in the line at Starbucks for 10 mins, you should know what you what when you get to the front. Also aggressive, inconsiderate driversâŚ..
