Age: It’s nothing but a number… 🙂

Title: Singer/Host/Actor/American Pinup/Entrepreneur/Business Owner, but most importantly MOM – would exhausted and frazzled be a title?

Married/Single: Single, my mom calls monthly to say she’s worried about me being old and alone, LOL – she means well, she just doesn’t get how much I love my freedom.

Kids: One amazing daughter who I also blame for any wrinkles or gray hairs

City you live in: Scottsdale, I’m a rare native!

A typical day in my life includes…

24/7 work, passing my 17-yr old in the hallways for quick catch up sessions, if I’m lucky, since she’s as busy as me, hosting and interviewing by day, singing by night, then going home to do laundry, clean litterboxes, vacuum cat and dog hair, so much for glamour…are you bored yet?

I was born…

screaming with my mouth wide open, not much has changed since.

My favorite thing about Arizona…

the sunsets and friendly people, the diverse topography (thanks high school AZ history class!) and Mexican food, lots and lots of Mexican food – are we the main hub for Filibertos? We should be proud of that.

I’m listening to…

RUSH and rock and roll at all times…and my obnoxious chihauhua, Angel, barking constantly for no real reason.

My family…

is the best! But loud, and somewhat crazy…if you don’t get our sense of humor, forget it.

If I could have dinner with anyone, it would be…

Jesus, my whole family together, cuz I love being around them, Joan Rivers because she was hilarious, or Geddy Lee – if you don’t know who he is, then you’re probably a female under 40.

One thing I cannot live without…

we’d all die without food, so I think that’s a decent choice but if you want specifics, I’d go with spaghetti, French fries and crab legs – I’m hungry as I’m doing this…

When I was younger, I wanted to be…

a singer and actor – hard to believe I’m actually doing it – I’ve never been cut out for the 9-5.

I’m inspired by…

my daughter and parents, music, the miracle of creation, the vastness of the universe and stars, the ocean, honesty, hard work, and people who are funny and kind or really great at their craft or talent. I find inspiration in anything if I look hard enough.

The one person who motivates me is…

myself – I don’t believe in relying on others to motivate you, it has to come from within. I would say my daughter, but she actually exhausts me LOL.

If I could change anything in the world, it would be…

the negativity, blame and entitlement in our society – I think the Internet and media has been a huge part of this. Also, the mistreatment of animals and countries who allow the killing of whales, sharks and endangered species, it infuriates me.

The perfect day would be…

doing absolutely nothing while it rains and thunders outside and I just sit and listen – but Disneyland or Hawaii with my daughter comes in a close second! We’ve had the best times at both those places. Any chance I get to explore a new city or town is a great day.

My first job was…

a drycleaners in Ahwatukee – I was fired in 24 hours, I was awful at it and I was bored.

My favorite escape…

Disneyland, any exotic beach or travel destination, music and singing, a great biography or autobiography to read, home and finding time to be by myself.

My life…

is not normal; it’s crazy, weird, insane and challenging but I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I’m currently working on…

there’s not enough room to write all that! But you can check out my website or social media. My new 2019 Vintage Pinup charity calendar is out!

Always…

laugh!!! Embrace life in the moment! Also, consider and respect the other side of any disagreement. And, go for what you want!

Never…

lie or be cruel, not just to others, but to yourself. Never let anything stop you from going for what you are passionate about doing, and NEVER dwell on the past, you can’t change it, just learn from it and adapt.

Favorite Quote…

I’m horrible with “favorites” – I can’t even pick what I want at a restaurant, let alone narrow down my favorite quote, but I do like the lyric from Stevie Knicks, Rhiannon “she rules her life like a bird in flight” – so much meaning to that.

Biggest Dream…

to never stop dreaming and to freeze time because I just love life. I also dream of having a huge ranch where I could rescue animals and have my daughter live with me forever (she’s rolling her eyes at that).

My Pet Peeve(s)…

answering questions about myself! Following rules, people posting their political opinions on Facebook and getting texts from people who just say “Hey”…if you do that, I guarantee you will not get a response.

Throughout her career, Cathy never let go of one of her biggest passions – music – from a young age. Her sister was a working drummer in an all-female hard rock band, her grandfather a professional touring Big Band musician, and her grandmother a 1st string violinist with the Scottsdale Symphony. Inspired by these influences and with a love of rock and roll, Cathy has enjoyed collaborating with musician friends over the years, which led her to land a position as lead vocalist for two popular Arizona-based corporate and event bands, Superhero (Rock/Pop/Dance) and Daisy Train (Country and Country Rock). Both bands regularly headline at various public venues and regional community festivals, as well as performing private corporate and wedding events. Daisy Train was a featured act for the 2015 Superbowl Fanfest in Phoenix, which drew over 80,000 people, as well as an opening act for the Live Nation VIP club for artists such as Alan Jackson and Dierks Bentley, and was voted #3 on the “Top Ten Country Western Nights” list by the New Times. Superhero is a popular nationally touring event band and featured act for the Party on the Plaza at many Phoenix Suns NBA games, Casino Arizona, Blue Martini, Copper Blues, Talking Stick and more….With her love of music, Cathy was thrilled to also recently take on a co-producing role with Brickhouse.TV, hosting “All Axcess Pass,” a channel/show that covers a variety of national musical artists and concerts. Her recent in-depth interviews include popular bands such as Everclear, Winger, the Sweet, Fishbone, Warrant, Lita Ford, John Waite, Ratt, Puddle of Mudd, Kix and more.

Currently, Cathy continues to evolve and expand her career without letting age or gender limit her in any way, hoping to set an example for, and also help mentor and encourage, younger women to embrace their potential and passions through hard work and empowerment, whether in entertainment or other industries. Off camera, she enjoys spending time with her teenage daughter and family, traveling, and giving back to our Military Veterans through her popular Charity Pinup Calendar project, which has been a deeply personal and ongoing commitment.
