AZF: What is your “life motto”?
Be a go-giver as well as a go-getter … pour out goodness, lift others, and trust that what you give comes back multiplied … always in the chicest ways.
AZF: Did you always know that you wanted to be an entrepreneur? If not, when did you realize that it was the right path for you?
I wanted to be, but I was scared. The moment it clicked was during a really challenging period in my life. I’d gone through a tough break-up, moved out of my boyfriend’s house, had a knee injury that required surgery, and lost my creative director job. I realized, if not now, when? I had an entrepreneurial idea in my field to help people tell their stories with heart, and I decided to go for it.
The rest is history: in our first year, Chic Shoots earned over 20 five-star Google reviews, and I’ve been lucky enough to turn my passion for storytelling into a thriving, full-service creative business.
AZF: How do you feel best supported?
I feel supported when people show up, communicate openly, and bring good vibes – it keeps things flowing and lets me create freely.
AZF: What motivates you to keep going amidst the challenges that come with being an entrepreneur?
I see challenges as hurdles to overcome, and I know I can be resourceful in finding the best solution. Challenges are temporary, and my positivity and resilience keep me moving forward no matter what.
AZF: Describe your perfect Saturday morning.
Perfect Saturday morning: coffee in hand, a workout or hike to start the day, a fun shoot, and a little time to tackle laundry or clean – simple, productive, and just the right mix of hustle and chill.
AZF: What’s one piece of advice you’d give to a young entrepreneur who is just starting out?
I wish I had started my business years earlier, even as a side hustle. Have a clear vision, start with the basics, and trust that you can figure out the rest along the way. The universe will help you bring your vision to life. Just do it!
AZF: What excites you most about being an entrepreneur?
Honestly, the variety. No two days ever look the same, and that’s what lights me up. One moment I’m designing a brand with logos and color palettes, the next I’m planning a full campaign or creating mood boards for holiday or engagement shoots. I love slipping between creativity and strategy, it keeps me inspired and growing.
I’m also obsessed with the business side. Entrepreneurs and small businesses need consistent, authentic content to stay relevant, and I love solving that problem through Club Chic. It delivers effortless, elevated monthly content – and it feels amazing to provide something that actually makes their lives easier (and a whole lot more chic).
Being an entrepreneur means I get to create, innovate, and elevate people’s brands every single day – and that’s what keeps me excited.
