What’s On Your Fitness Bucket List?

First thing on my new fitness bucket list: Go on a yoga retreat

Since I’m in a reflective mood, I thought I’d revisit my “Fitness Bucket List” from last year to see what I have/haven’t crossed off the list – and was kinda surprised by what I discovered…

#1) Yoga head stand… or handstand
CHECK! It happened in Alex Austin’s class. We did a ton of core work first, and then it was time to play. With no pressure or expectation, I put my hands into position, set the top of my head on the mat, took a deep breath and… DID IT! No, the room didn’t erupt into applause, but I did give myself a great big giant mental high five. Next up: handstand!

I will master you handstand!

#2) Try Tracy Anderson Method.. and Physique 57 and Soul Cycle
YES & NO. Funny, I don’t even remember this being on my list, and although I haven’t tried the above YET, I’ve tried a slew of new classes in the last year: I did WEightless with Kiya Knight at CoreBalance (life-changing!), I karved at Karve, I drop saddled at RPM Spin, I reformed at Remedy, I sweated at BODI, I barred at StudioMixx, I boxed at Title Boxing.

Oh, and I still want to try Soul Cycle

#3) Run Another Half-Marathon
Not yet.

#4) Hike to Havasupai Falls
Not yet.

Other milestones I’ve conquered this year: I skied Jaskson Hole, did SUP yoga at Kahala Resort in Hawaii, did my first juice cleanse and my first adventure race… and co-founded a fitness company, FIT[tbd]. Not bad if I do say so myself. Constantly evaluating and updating your goals keeps things fresh and exciting. Speaking of which, I better start on my new list…
