Grocery Great: Jif Whips

JIF-Whips
In this week’s Grocery Great segment, guest writer ForXx reviews new Jif Whips.
Wow, what a pleasant surprise. After tons of commercials over the past six months, it’s finally on the shelves at Fry’s. Whips by Jif are in!
With clever recipes on the lid, you can always count on Jif to break the mold when it comes to peanut butter. They’ve done it again with the new Whips. For example, you can mix the creamy whipped peanut butter, which by the way is super smooth and delicious, with three-fourths teaspoon of ground cinnamon to create a Honey Cinnamon Peanut Butter dip. Amazing. Serve with some sliced apples and strawberries. Use as a dip with pretzels or even atop a banana or some butter cookies. Yum! The container makes a two-cup serving. This is an easy little appetizer to pacify guests before the main meal during the holidays.
Whips also come in different flavors like Whipped Peanut Butter with Chocolate. If you like peanut butter, this is a must-have in your pantry. It is smooth, delicious, aromatic and tempting enough for your fingertip. This is my favorite Grocery Great at a great bargain.
Now here’s the skinny on the nutritional value: two tablespoons contain 140 calories, 100 from fat. Only 95mg of sodium, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of sugar and 2 grams of fiber. As far as the ingredients are concerned, it’s made from roasted peanuts, sugar from molasses, vegetable oils from rapeseed and soybeans with a little salt. Pure deliciousness. I agree that choosey moms choose Jif!
