BREAKING NEWS: A Valley hotspot is closing its doors forever! You'll never believe who.

For years, Aaron May has dominated DC Ranch with his restaurant concepts. North Scottsdale residents have enjoyed and flocked to the hip restaurant Sol y Sombra for sangria and delicious tapas, and more recently have had awesome sandwiches at Autostrada.

Not long ago, May decided to close Autostrada, after less than a year of business. But to the shock and dismay of all of us, he'll also be closing the doors of Sol y Sombra. This weekend.

For those of us who had years of fun on the rooftop patio and enjoyed those amazing Brussels Sprouts and deliciously devilish potatoes, this parting will be awfully sad. To wish May the best and enjoy one last round of drinks in DC Ranch's amazing Spanish spot, be sure to visit the restaurant on its last night, Saturday, August 15. The restaurant closes its doors after Sunday brunch August 16.

It is thought that the restauranteur may move the concept or capitalize on Old Town Scottsdale or Central Phoenix opportunities in the coming months.
