Art, Culture and Activities

Fountain Hills is also a blossoming hub for the arts. The Hot Air Balloon Rally kicks off the Fountain Hills Great Fair where over 500 artists line the Avenue of the Fountains Boulevard each February. In November, the Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts attracts a crowd of 200,000 who enjoy and share local artwork, entertainment and food.

Throughout the year, bronze sculptures and fountains with Community Profile themes dot the streets and can be see on public buildings, plazas and parks as part of a public art collection initiative. Residents and visitors are encouraged to engage and participated in the “Art Walk” self-guided tour. The step-by-step “Art Walk” guide is available on the town’s website.

At Fort McDowell Adventures, visitors can get a taste of the Wild West through horseback riding, cattle drives, hayrides and much more on the 25,000-acre Yavapai Indian Reservation. Saguaro Lake Ranch Trail Rides in the Tonto National Forest let you experience the “Old West,” taking you through Saguaro cactus-studded ridges, across and along the Salt River, into the arroyos and up creosote-covered hills overlooking the Saguaro Lake.

After exploring, take a break and treat yourself to European-inspired therapies at the Spa at Copperwynd Resort and Club or to resort services without the pricing at Villa Toscana Day Spa and Salon.
