Description
Desert Hills Community School of Music has partnered with the Scottsdale Philharmonic to offer audition preparation masterclasses for young musicians planning to audition for All-State Regionals in late January 2024.
During this two-part workshop, distinguished DHCSM faculty, along with top musicians from the Scottsdale Philharmonic, will work with band and string players to help them perfect their repertoire, learn valuable audition skills (to include mock audition practice), and improve overall musicianship. Masterclasses are available for all string and band instruments. Students who sign up will work in small groups consisting only of their instrument and led by an expert on that instrument.
The Masterclasses will be held on January 13 and 20, 2024, immediately before All-State auditions the following weekend. Each class is 90 minutes. Total cost for both classes (three hours of instruction) is $75.
