Happy Returns! Dutch Holly and the Human Torch Light Up the Dark Side

Ethereal indie duo Dutch Holly has announced that they will return to the Dark Side speakeasy in Tempe on Friday October 27^th, 2023. If you caught Dutch Holly’s appearance there on August 31st, you experienced a special evening. Just as the duo took the stage, a massive dust storm knocked out the power. Undeterred, the duo broke out an acoustic guitar and entertained the crowd by phone-light, unamplified in the sweltering heat. Patrons were captivated as the drinks flowed. When the power returned nearly an hour later, Dutch Holly ripped through a set of originals that energized the crowd and not only earned them a special place in the hearts of their new fans, but also an invitation to perform at the Dark Side again the next night.

Phoenix performance artist Serene Dominic will be doing double duty at the Dark Side on the 27th. His gruff country crooner persona ‘Cole Summers’ will open the show with a set that includes a duet with Dutch Holly singer and percussionist Jen Juniper. After Dutch Holly’s set, Dominic will return to finish the night as the wildly passionate ‘Human Torch.’

Dutch Holly and Serene Dominic/Human Torch/Cole Summers have a long-time friendship and have played shows together in the Valley and elsewhere, for example, at this year’s Miami Loco Arts festival in Miami, AZ, and again at Rip’s Ales in Phoenix on July 5th. Both Dutch Holly’s dates at the Dark Side also included sets by Cole Summers and the Human Torch.

Dutch Holly will also appear as in-studio guests on Phoenix's Hotrock Supajoint Supashow live on YouTube, Wednesday October 18th from 7 to 9PM, where they will promote the October 27^th show and debut a new single to be announced soon. 

Dutch Holly’s music is streaming on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and many other platforms and is in rotation on several independent radio stations throughout the state.
