Events: Arizona - Phoenix - Scottsdale

Nourish Phoenix (NourishPHX), a nonprofit food and clothing bank, is hosting their annual breakfast fundraiser at St. Francis Xavier Parish on Tuesday, October 24 at 7:30 a.m. to honor clients, celebrate volunteers, and raise funds for the new year.

The in-person and virtual event will feature client testimonies, guest speakers, catered breakfast from the Crepe Bar, and a cooking demonstration from Food Network-featured Chefs making a gourmet meal using the contents from a food box.

NourishPHX’s goal is to raise $100,000 funds to support the 17,000 families, a 55% increase from the previous year, that NourishPHX serves. The money raised during this event will help provide nearly four million pounds of food, clothing, medical services, critical workforce development programming and more for Phoenix residents in need.

During the event, attendees will also hear from NourishPHX volunteers, the impact they are making in the lives of impoverished Arizonans, and the rewarding benefits of volunteerism. This year, NourishPHX has more than 2,275 volunteers donating their time to support the organization which totals $737,130 worth of time.

The highlight of the event is the “Think Inside the Box” cooking demonstration. In this demonstration, the Chef Tee Williams, executive chef of The Crepe Bar, will utilize only the ingredients in a NourishPHX food box to prepare a delicious, healthy meal. The goal of the demonstration is to showcase the fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients presented in the NourishPHX food boxes and debunk the myth that food boxes only have canned goods.
