Description

Adam Laor and Brian Pierce, the founders of the hospitality platform Sinatra, have announced their latest product release. The founders will be presenting a Voice of Hospitality Panel on Wednesday, Oct. 25 from 6-8:30 p.m. at the Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts (link to RSVP below). During the event, they will also unveil their latest product, the Sinatra Risk Management Suite.

“The Sinatra Risk Management Suite provides new levels of connectivity and risk measurement to carriers in hospitality, while also seeding our category expansion within the industry down the road,” said Laor who helped raise a $1.4 million pre-seed round last October. “We are confident that this new product will change the face of insurance in our industry forever.”

The evening is set to begin at 6 p.m. with a welcome reception followed by the panel, product reveal and post-event networking session. Panel speakers include Howard Beck, chief underwriting officer of Illinois Casualty Company; David DeLorenzo, president of Bar Restaurant Insurance; Jeff Steinberg, former VP, XtraChef, Toast; and Steve Chucri, president of the Arizona Restaurant Association. Speakers will engage in discussion of the intricacies and importance of insurance coverage in the hospitality industry, especially as it relates to businesses in Arizona.

After the discussion, Laor and Pierce will officially unveil the Sinatra Risk Management Suite. Part of the Sinatra App, this cutting-edge technology is designed to help insurance carriers measure and mitigate risk in the hospitality industry and help business owners enjoy real-time insurance premiums simply by monitoring the safety of their employees and guests.

This product will allow carriers to flatline rates for operators, issue discounts based on performance and save money and time when claims occur. This risk management tool allows users to upload six tasks related to risk mitigation on a monthly basis, manage documents such as their insurance policy and liquor certificate, file incident and management reports and collect employee signoffs. It also provides access to resources such as safety tips.

Laor and Pierce initially teamed up to develop the Sinatra Training App to hasten pick-up lines at restaurants. However, the business partners quickly realized the opportunity to build the first true single platform experience for the industry, from training staff to digitizing insurance and beyond.

Laor is a 20-year-old prodigy who successfully founded the herbal supplement brand ReviverBlasts at age 16; developed Sinus Aid, a unique formula that helps alleviate congestion and helped build Town Pharmacy, one of New York City’s top independent pharmacies — before he was even out of high school.

Pierce is a 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry. With longtime careers at The Phoenician and the Four Seasons Resorts & Hotels, he is a leader in employee relations and a multi-time founder in the food and beverage space. He founded True Salt, the fastest emerging salt brand in the U.S., and WinePhD, the first wine app available via iPhone, which was featured on USA Today’s full-page cover in 2009.
