April 1 - A Night to Remember Dance at Valley of the Sun JCC

Families with children, ages 4 and up, are invited to dance the night away together at the Valley of the Sun JCC (“The J”) on Saturday, April 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. There will be live music, games, light appetizers, refreshments, and a photo booth. Advance tickets are $25 per person, $35 at the door.

April 2 - Hero for a Day 5K and Superhero Fun Run

Children ages 3 and up are invited to put on their superhero cape and lace up their running shoes! Their mission: join the battle against pediatric brain cancer. The J has partnered with the nonprofit Hudson Heroes for a day of fitness and family fun, all in the name of supporting trailblazing brain cancer research. Events will include a 5K and Superhero Dash. All proceeds will benefit Hudson Heroes. Registration starts at 6:45 a.m. The Superhero Dash starts at 7:30 a.m. The 5K starts at 8 a.m. Cost is $30 per adult, $10 per child. Advanced registration is required.

April 2 - Shemesh Camp KTR Get-together

The J’s summer day camp program, Shemesh Camp, will also host an exciting get-together event for families on April 2 from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Scottsdale KTR Indoor Action Sports Playground. Children will get to jump, skate, dodge, and tumble their way through the end of this Family Fun Weekend with Shemesh Camp. Whether you’ve camped with The J before or want to learn more about an adventure-filled summer, Shemesh Camp would love to have you there. Mention Shemesh Camp at check-in to join in on the fun. Cost is $24 per child for two hours; $47 for a family pass (two adults, five children.) Advance registration is not required. Just show up for the fun. KTR is located at 9009 E. Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale.
