Description

Gammage Auditorium to Host Fifth Annual Night of Hope Event - A Night to End Human Trafficking.

Tempe, AZ - Our fight against human trafficking is fierce, and there is a correlation between the Superbowl and increased trafficking events.

It’s estimated that up to 66% of the global profits from human trafficking come from sexual exploitation — and major sporting events have become their own human trafficking “Super Bowls”. - https://www.thomsonreuters.com/en-us/posts/investigation-fraud-and-risk/tackling-human-trafficking-every-day/

Our community is coming together to raise awareness, make a difference, and stop Human Trafficking this year in Arizona. With the support of professional athletes, elected officials, and community leaders, will join forces in fighting this insidious crime. Through education, support, and awareness, we can work towards a future where human trafficking is no longer a threat to the safety and well-being of our community.

The Night of Hope will be hosted at ASU Gammage Auditorium and introduced by City of Tempe Mayor Corey Woods.  In-person and online attendees will be able to connect with law enforcement and the front-line organizations that work to restore the lives of women and children who have been victimized by human trafficking.  in fact, official proclamations have been being issued in the following cities as they join the fight: Glendale, Chandler, Gilbert, Mesa, Queen Creek, Suprize, Tempe and more.

“We are grateful communities all over Arizona are uniting to stand up for our most vulnerable and extremely proud of the valley cities committed to fighting human trafficking during the Superbowl weekend and everywhere” - Scott September, Gilbert Town Councilmember.

We encourage everyone to join us at ASU Gammage on Friday, February 10, 2023, at 6 pm, for the fifth annual Night of Hope event. Together, we can shine a light in the darkness and bring hope to those affected by human trafficking.
