Adrian Trice, owner of DNA Financial Enterprises, in Tempe, Ariz., is using her birthday to give back to an organization close to her heart - the Pretty Precise Step Team.

Founded during the coronavirus pandemic by Lateka Curtis and Cheyenne James, a mother-daughter duo,Pretty Precise Step Teamwas started to give minority, at-risk youth an opportunity to express themselves through the art of stepping and dance. Since its inception, Pretty Precise has taken the state by storm. With a unique style and diversity, the organization provides a sisterhood and a safe environment to keep youth off the street.

“I wish I had access to something like the Pretty Precise Step Team during my tween and teen years,” Trice said. “The young ladies who are involved - and the females who mentor them - are inspiring, to say the least. As I celebrate my 45^thbirthday, I want to be more intentional about the upcoming year and give back to a cause that has short and long-term impact in the community. That is why we started planning the birthday fundraising gala.”

The team has been featured on national media, including Good Morning America and 2023 will be a banner year for the Pretty Precise organization. They will participate in the Fiesta Bowl activities for the third consecutive year and at the 2023 Superbowl Extravaganza, both in Arizona. They will also compete at national dance and step competitions throughout the year.

“The more success the step team has, the more money needed to facilitate a worthwhile program,” added Trice. “Things like practice spaces and travel accommodations, including a van to get the girls to competitions, are expensive. Our goal with the fundraiser is to not only raise awareness for this group of phenomenal and talented young ladies, but to provide them financial support to make a difference in the community where they live and will ultimately work, serve and mentor other young adults.”

Trice’s birthday gala will take place on Friday, January 6, 2023, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight at The Legacy Ballroom, 4530 E Gold Dust Ave, Phoenix, Ariz., 85028.

Tickets include a night of entertainment, food, drinks and a silent auction and raffle.
