The dinner and silent auction is always a fun, well-attended evening and organizers are pleased to resume the event after a three-year hiatus. “We are working hard to make it a really special night,” said Angela Heckler, FLPS Director of Development. “It will be wonderful to socialize outside, be entertained, eat good food and raise some much-needed funds.”

Proceeds raised will fund senior dogs’ medical care, which comprises the majority of FLPS’s budget, explained Heckler. “Our high medical expenses reflect the Forever Loved philosophy that we want our dogs healthy when you adopt them. We don’t want to give adopters a ‘to-do.’”

Organizers hope to appeal to more than just dog lovers with a wide variety of silent auction offerings. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid on items such as classic AZ experiences, gift baskets and artwork. Bidding will be both silent and live. Other entertainment will include live music from Blaine Long (known for being on NBC’s The Voice), a “wine pull” and “booze pull”.
“We will also offer tours of our nearby rescue facility. It’s nice for attendees to see exactly who their money helps and it’s always a highlight to hear about our success stories,” said Heckler.

Guests will enjoy delicious food and signature cocktails in a resort-like backyard setting. Dinner will feature mouth-watering sliders and sides from Urban Phoenix and dessert from Nothing Bundt Cakes and XO Sweets Ice Cream.
