The Arizona Oral Cancer Walk (AzOCW) Planning committee is proud to announce the return of the 11th Annual Arizona Oral Cancer Walk. The walk will take place on Saturday October 29th from 7-10 AM at the Phoenix Zoo with the purpose to educate Arizonans on oral cancer prevention, support oral cancer warriors and survivors, and fundraise for research. 

We are asking for sponsors, in-kind donations, and walkers to register for our event in order to promote and raise funds towards research of oral cancer.

The Arizona Oral Cancer Walk is sponsored by the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry and in partnership with the Arizona Dental Foundation, the event involves health booths, kids activities, oral cancer screenings, a short survivor speaker series, and an Oral Cancer & HPV Education Center.

Registration opened on August 1, 2022. All proceeds go towards the local Arizona community & its cancer-related initiatives. Price of the ticket includes All-Day Admission to the Phoenix Zoo. Prices are: adults $30, students (with ID) $25, kids (3-10 years old) $15, all oral cancer warriors and children younger than 3 free.

The Arizona Oral Cancer Walk was started by Dr. Terrence Yu and a group of dental students in 2009. With the support of the Arizona Dental Association, the Arizona Academy of General Dentistry, and local dental and dental hygiene schools, we were able to increase awareness about oral, head, and neck cancer to the Arizonans from across the state. The 2019 walk was a great success, raising over $15,000  with approximately 800 walkers in attendance.
