Guests are invited to Thirsty Lion Gastropub on Thursday, May 5^th in celebration of the Cinco de Mayo holiday! A selection of specialty themed menu items will be offered in addition to the restaurants’ signature happy hour margarita, aptly named the Thirsty Lion Margarita served with Sauza Hacienda Tequila, sweet & sour, agave, muddled lime and triple sec for only $7.95 all day long!  Other menu items will include:

• Chips, Salsa and Guacamole
• Creamy Queso Dip made with cheddar, jack & pepper jack cheese, simmered with roasted jalapeños, onion and tomatoes & served with white corn chips
• Pork Carnitas Salad Bowl with steamed rice, Tajin spice, crisp greens, sweet chipotle dressing, Napa cabbage, black beans, jicama, Cotija cheese, roasted corn, red peppers, avocado, pickled radish, jalapeño and cilantro
• Southwest Smoked Chicken Salad served with mesquite smoked chicken, roasted sweet corn, red peppers, avocado, marinated jicama, cherry tomatoes, fresh greens, and cabbage tossed in a cilantro lime vinaigrette and topped with crispy tortilla chips and Cotija cheese
• Jalapeno Pepper Jack Burger with melted pepper jack cheese, jalapeños, Tabasco onion strings, fresh guacamole and chipotle aioli on a toasted brioche bun served with a choice of hand cut fries, Napa slaw or a house small salad
• Green Chili Chicken & Avocado Sandwich served with roasted pasilla chilies, avocado, cilantro, jalapeños, pepper jack, Cotija cheese, spicy Napa slaw, and chipotle aioli on grilled ciabatta
• Baja Fish Tacos- three tacos with sauteed cod, shrimp chipotle aioli, cilantro lime slaw, pico de gallo, Cotija cheese, and white corn tortillas.  Served with Santa Fe bacon black beans

Additional specialty drinks that will be offered include the Blood Orange Margarita with Sauza Hacienda tequila, triple sec, blood orange puree, agave nectar, muddled orange & lime and sweet & sour; Fresh Fruit Sangria with E&J brandy, 14 Hands cab, triple sec, fresh orange & lime wedges, soda, and simple syrup and a Tequila Flight with Casamigos Blanco, Sauza Hornitos Reposado, and Patron Anejo.
